ROLE- Windows System Administrator

DURATION- 6 months CTHLOCATION- Edgewater Park, NJ (Remote until 02/2022 then 1-2 days per week onsite)Interview: Phone and Video

This position requires being able to support our day-to-day operations, projects, and tasks. This would include support tickets, scripting, topology installation/recommendations, backups, and monitoring. This position will require supervision from all levels of Windows Administration.

Support for Operations
  • Design, install, and configure internal and customer facing servers with a primary focus on providing Microsoft Windows OS Support (2012, 2016, 2019, and Windows 10)
  • Ability to develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
  • Contribute to current standards and provide improvements when necessary (automation)
  • Can direct and provide Tier III support for our Technical Support and Help Desk staff. This requires expert knowledge of Desktop Hardware and Operating Systems.
  • Critical thinking skills and Communication skills to manage/solve complex problems and issues independently.
  • Manage incidents using our issue tracking systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other teams.
  • Ability to write detailed procedures, have time management, and prioritize tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD and Group Policy (ADUC, Sites and Services, etc.)
  • Understand and have working knowledge of scripting such as command line scripting and PowerShell.
  • Ability to perform VMware administration (VCenter and ESXi. Other VMware products is a plus)
  • Administer Topology and Accounts in Exchange On-Prem and Exchange Online
  • Perform all other duties as define by Burlington Stores Manager.
  • Maintenance
  • Monitoring backups and troubleshoot backup related issues
  • Deploy patches and deployment installs using management tools such as BigFix
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenances.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of Hardware/Software support for Windows-based systems.
    • 5 years of experience of Windows Domain Services such as Active Directory, Sites and Services, etc.
    • 3 years of Experience with VMware
    • Azure AD/Azure Cloud Experience a plus.

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Server-side troubleshooting of operating systems and applications
    • Strong communication between all groups including management, peers and “end users”
    • Documentation of processes and procedures required for consumption by all groups/levels
