Accountant

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant in the non-profit sector, based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing revenue accounting, ensuring adherence to GAAP guidelines, and maintaining audit-ready financial records. You will also be involved in comprehensive management of Accounts Receivable, various accounting procedures, and the creation of financial reports.Responsibilities: Oversee daily to yearly activities related to Accounts Receivable Conduct regular balancing of all receivables and grants/contracts on a monthly basis Participate in the maintenance of assets and property records Perform random audit checks and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Provide backup support for Payroll and Accounts Payable roles when necessary Engage in job-related developmental training to enhance skills and expertise Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions for efficient management of accounting functions Leverage Great Plains (GPAC) and ADP - Financial Services for financial tasks and processes Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions Contribute to the auditing and budget processes in line with organizational goals and objectives.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accountant role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must Experience with ERP Solutions is necessary Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) is required Must be able to perform various Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Auditing skills are essential Must have experience in Budget Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
