Job Description

As the Billing Systems Team Manager you will leada small dynamic team that are technically and analytical minded. The purpose of the role is to manage the team supporting our in-house billing systems and customers in timely and accurate billing.

In this role you will alsosupport the billing of existing products as well as being integrally involved in the development and implementation of billing solutions for new products and pricing models.

You will work with our wholesale customers, suppliers, and internal stake holders from various operations teams as well as Systems, Sales and Products. The Billing Systems Team is a small team with a big impact!

What you will do as a

Billing Systems Team Manager :

  • Identify & implement system developments to improve capability and efficiency.
  • Create new tariffs to differentiate new product usage & map the import usage to them.
  • Write specifications for importing new charge feeds.
  • Managethemonth end closing procedures of the data that is related to billing.
  • Manageproject-based work in conjunction with day to day operational tasks.
  • Apply expertise's to solving billing and system-based challenges.
  • Providecoaching & mentoring to team members in line with development plan.
  • Manages team workload and allocation of work.
  • Ensures that there is accuracy in the information of the database.
  • Pro-active attitude and willing to take the initiative to drive improvement.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of complex data
  • 3+ years in Telco/utility billing experiencewith querying & updating records in a SQL database
  • Experience in presenting to senior business managers and executive managers
  • Understanding of workforce management practices
  • Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Understanding of Call Centre and Operational team performance metrics including Customer Experience measures
  • Experience managing high performance teams
