We are seeking Cooks and Prep Cooks to join one of FiveM Group's restaurants. FiveM Group operates restaurants in the NM region, from food-focused breweries, to delicious New Mexican fare. Experience is recommended but not required.
The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, working with the entire team to create delicious and memorable food. This position requires an understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for the food industry and experience in food handling is essential for success in this role. Preference in New Mexican fare experiences will help.
Duties
Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Adhere to food safety standards and regulations throughout all food handling processes.
Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with food preparation and presentation.
Requirements
Previous experience in the food industry or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Familiarity with catering services is a plus.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
