Domain Architect – Transport Management

Job Description

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for aDomain Architect - Transport Managementto join our business.

As the Domain Architect Ttransport Managementyou will be primarily responsible for the ongoing architectural leadership of Global Express’ Transport Management platform capability. You will traverse immediate solution architecture needs as well as taking a 1-3-5 year view to define and drive the roadmap for the future state architecture for the specified domain and how it relates to other domains. A strong focus of thisrole will be placed on analysis and estimation of future changes as well as designing innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities, stability and maintainability of our Transport Management solution and its integration with other GE applications.

As the Domain Architect - Transport Management, you will:

• Responsible for estimating and designing Transport Management solutions to support Group IT – Global Express (GE)
• Monitor developments and trends in domain architecture practices to identify new opportunities and provide recommendations as to how GE should take advantage of these
• Liaise with the key business stakeholders to understand and elicit business requirements to design and implement the most effective and efficient solution.
• Work with other business stakeholders, architects of other domains, functional and technical teams to develop domain architectures in the area of Transport Management. (e.g. service capabilities, security and end to end solution flows)
• Apply the relevant security and risk management protocols as required.
• Maintain solution documentation as appropriate

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 10 + years’ experience working across organisations and industries to gain a variety of experiences and knowledge
• Bachelor’s in IT or Supply Chain or related disciplines
• Experience working in the Transport Domain and understanding of best practice operational processes
• Technical, analytical, and written communication skills
• Industry recognised certification as an Architecture practitioner (TOGAF) - preferable
