Seeking an experienced Farm worker on a small farm in NW Albuquerque.
Wanting a nice person with a minimum of drama, a healthy eater, and a decent communicator, dependable, reliable, responsible, honest, considerate, capable of empathy, has a good attitude, valid humor and an individual who wants to work on a Farm. Experience with small farm operations is preferred, and learning is an ongoing process.
Farm Duties:
Plan spring and fall plantings; estimate harvest crops and times; Coordinate sprouting, planting, watering, weeding, compost, trimming, pest control and harvesting; chicken care; sell fresh food at local Farmers Markets; Summarize and report on sales and expenses. Two month trial period to see if expectations are mutual.
Wage: Hours per week can vary depending on the season, assigned duties, and your availability. Hourly wage for Farm work will range from 12 to 17, depending on experience and speed. Living Quarters: a 1-BR small detached house may be available for reduced amount in the near future.
If you respect and protect our Mother Nature, then you may like working on this large yard solar powered veggie and berry farm. Located near the Rio Grande river in the north valley. Lots of peace and quiet except for the large grey Sandhill cranes, geese and ducks can be quite noisy as they fly overhead in their large V formations when they are migrating.
