Job Description

We are looking for Hardware Engineers with focus on Project Managementwith great social skillset that have the tendency to grow as natural leaders in a team. Their technical curiosity paired with a passion for engineering enables them to provide guidance to the team in strategic problem solving and enables them to understand even the most complex technical challenges down to the last bit.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide support in development of automotive steering systems and testing for customer projects.
  • Plan, specify and implement product related changes to a platform ECU in order to fulfill specific requirements of the customer.
  • Ensure project milestones are met, mediate between central hardware development in Germany and supplier or customer.
  • Responsible for maintaining an Open Issues List for the assigned project/s and attend regular meetings with the project core team.
  • Provide support for series projects and maintain continuous communication withmanufacturing plants.
  • Assure compliance with automotive quality standards such as TS16949 and other internal/external policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSEE/BS Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science, Computer Engineering with strong Electronics fundamentals (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years of experience with automotive product development
  • Proven experience in Project Management.
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to learn independently and work well under tight development schedules.
  • Willing to work with a highly dynamic and culturally diverse team.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of development processes and one or more of the standards such as : Automotive SPICE, CMMI.
  • Basic knowledge or have used any one of these protocols CAN, FlexRay, SPI, UART, I2C.
  • Knowledge in application of Functional Safety Standards, specifically ISO26262.
  • Experience in automotive hardware development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in requirements management in DOORS.
