High School Math Teacher

Espanola Public Schools is a hiring full-time teacher to fill a High School Math Teacher position. Job Goals are to help each pupil develop competencies in basic mathematical skills and understanding of the structure of mathematics, to motivate each pupil to apply mathematical understanding and skills in the solution of practical problems, to encourage pupils to develop their special talents in the field of mathematics. Specific duties include to teach courses in mathematics to High School pupils utilizing teaching and student competencies and the curriculum/bilingual curriculum adopted by the Board of Education; Demonstrate mathematical concepts using models, chalk board, overhead projector, computers, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aides; Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Math and NM Secondary Teaching License or ability to obtain such by the start of employment.
