As a Level 3 Technical - NBS Dedicated, you will work in a corporate environment located onsite with one of our largest and most well-known customers.You will be working in a corporate environment located onsite with one of our largest and most well-known customers. This position is in the Negotiated Business Solutions group handling requests for support of software/hardware that are not supported by the regular IT support group.Your duties will include but are not limited to:Lab Support-specific tasks:

  • Keep lab clean and organized
  • Develop/maintain and track equipment and inventory within Lab
  • Order computer system H/W and lab supplies
  • General install/configuration and administration:
  • Software break / fix and maintenance (best effort support) escalate to NBS Leads un-resolved issues for escalation, or customer written guidelines.
  • Build PC hardware platforms
  • Windows XP, Vista & Linux environment
  • Customer to determine build to be put on systems being supported
  • load operating system and other software as defined by customer
  • General private networking of switches, hubs, and routers just for applications within our lab
  • Ensure registration, NIMS Compliance, Patching & Security updates:
  • Software updates and registration upkeep.
  • Tape backups to be maintained and tracked by technician
  • MS Office applications, Client-based server platforms, OS installation and system configuration, various adapters
  • In addition:
    • Assist in developing procedures / tools to facilitate automated S / W builds / loads for platforms,
    • Set up and maintain source code database plus perform S / W builds, etc.
    • Build, assemble and configure servers, system hardware (CPU, heat sink, hard drive, memory stick etc.).
    • Load, configure and troubleshoot BIOS, OS, software etc. products at a block level before shipping.
    • Generate automated Shipping Memos and other necessary shipping documents to ensure proper shipment documentation.
    • Package, un-package, label, transport, store, receive and ship incoming and outgoing material properly per request.
    • Log and track customer orders, shipments, invoices, legal documents, and material payments
    • Provide tech support to engineering team (i.e., provide hardware, software, run script, test, setup system, network, and infrastructure etc.)
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software systems and components (i.e., identify bad CPU, hard drive, memory stick, OS load, BIOS etc.).
    Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.W2 only, no Corp to Corp.
