Looking for Language Teachers

We are currently looking for teachers for our private language school in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This is a part-time position and is an ideal job for students, stay-at-home parents, as well as retired or disabled individuals. You can expect to work anywhere from 8 to 15 hours per week teaching, for anywhere between $25 and $54 per hour (our rates are flexible and variable and include private as well as group classes). In addition to teaching, we are also offering the opportunity to help out as a sales associate to help grow our company in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Your schedule will be ridiculously flexible, as you will have the freedom to set your own days for teaching (however you will need to be available for a minimum of 3 days per week, for at least 2 hours each day). Regarding the sales work, you can do that any time and on any days of the week that you like.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED TO TEACH WITH US?

We don’t require you to have experience teaching your language per se, but here is a short list of things that we are looking for in a potential teacher:

Native Speaker

Literate & well-versed in one’s mother tongue

Either enrolled in university or having a bachelor’s degree

If not a native speaker, able to speak the language at at least a C-1 level

If not a native speaker, able to demonstrate impromptu

proof of proficiency

Having at least some experience tutoring or teaching one’s native/proficient language

If having no teaching experience, able to explain the grammar of one’s native proficient/language

Ability to explain one’s teaching method/teaching philosophy when asked during the interview

A competent level of English proficiency (B2 or higher)
