Find your future with us.Boeing Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a highly motivated Multi-Skill Engineering Manager to join our team conducting research for the Air Force Research Laboratory in atmospheric compensation and beam control at Starfire Optical Range in Kirtland AFB, NM . Our team at Starfire has collaborated with the AF to achieve many technical “firsts” and we plan to continue this success into the future. This position will manage a multi-disciplined team of engineers/scientists in the fields of hardware, software, controls, and mod/sim/analysis teams. This 16-person team is challenged with development of state-of-the art systems to enable the Air Force research objectives. The current team is expected to grow by 4-6 new positions in 2024.In addition to engineering management, this position will fill project management roles for one or more small to medium projects, providing cost, schedule, and technical management; coordinating with our customer and external suppliers; and leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, IT, facilities, logistics to achieve program goals. Filling both an engineering and program manager role requires continuous program improvement using program management best practices. Finally, this position will provide oversight for technical and cost baselines for proposals and bids for future programs.Position Responsibilities:

Provide technical oversight to team’s development efforts.

Conduct continuous personnel reviews and performance guidance

Develop, hire and retain top talent

Collaborate with other Boeing groups for surge support to special programs.

Communicates technical and program status to our customer.

Develops project and program plans at all levels across functional areas to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion.

Prepares, analyzes, coordinates, assigns, integrates, and maintains project plans, programs, and initiatives.

Creates and conducts studies, analysis risk assessments to determine impacts.

Manages change management processes and communicates decisions and best practices to stakeholders.

Coordinates ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between cross functional teams.

Works directly with our customer to build cost and schedule plans, provide documentation (briefings and white papers), and determine project objectives and milestones.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Work Authorization:This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

A Bachelor’s of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

1+ years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Proven skills leading multi-disciplined engineering teams

Demonstrated background in electronics, firmware, software, controls, or mod/sim

Proven skills developing top talent engineering teams

Strong technical program management skillsets

Ability to manage teams on multiple significant program efforts simultaneously

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent customer relation skills
