Position/Job Title: Program Security Officer (L2)-3422 Location: Albuquerque, NM - Kirtland AFB Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is looking to fill the Program Security Officer Support (L2) position. This individual shall provide security support and establish and maintain the security of the contract and including information protection levels at the highest-level security including special access required and sensitive compartmented information. The contractor shall mark all information in accordance with security classification guidance made available within their work areas. Provides wide range of security consulting, training, and facilities management services. Supports integration and management activities through the life cycle of the project or program. Develops comprehensive, "total" solutions to threat and/or vulnerabilityrelated problems and their impact on systems, organizations, or facilities. Performs threat reduction measures, crisis management, consequence management, and training. Performs security, threat, vulnerability, interoperability, and capability assessments including anti-terrorism scenario modeling and simulations. Identifies and implements security measures including plans, policies, and procedures; risk management planning; physical and cyber security; mechanical, structural, and architectural reviews, and business continuity planning. Supports training activities with emphasis on monitoring and measuring performance, implementing lessons learned, enforcing standards, and test scenarios. Education / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree, like Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and Experience standard.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Specialize area required
  • Experience working in secured personnel clearance computer systems
Skills / Experience Required Not listed in order of importance and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Physical Security and Risk Management/Safeguarding of Classified Information
  • Protects against security vulnerabilities that will exist during the development processes as well as those that will require preventive measures upon completion or delivery of systems and products
  • Makes adjustments in physical security systems as needed
  • Assist with preparing accreditation packages to include fixed facility checklists, facility, and alarm diagrams, inspectable space determinations, and other essential physical security documents for approval-by-approval agencies
  • Follows guidance and assist supervisors and managers in the areas of physical, information, personnel, and industrial security.
  • Implements RSC instructions, policies, and procedures to support installation security plans
  • Familiar with the classification management program and supports program managers in developing classified guidance and decisions. Provides guidance on classification marking, accountability, control, storage, safeguarding, downgrading, declassifying, and destruction procedures for classified materials
  • Adheres to and recommends changes to Security Operating Procedures to ensure that critical government resources, personnel and facilities are protected in a dynamic threat environment
  • Assist in implementing and administering the RSC Resource Protection Program which includes Control Entry Custodian, Alarm Custodian, Security Access Systems and Open Storage Approval
  • Assist managers with the policies, instructions, procedures, control systems and methods for such activities and functions as safeguarding and use; personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control; and transmitting, transferring, reproducing, emergency protection and removal, destroying of classified information
  • Monitors controlled area to ensure all personnel, computers, magnetic media are in compliance; ensures physical security requirements for automated data processing and secure communications equipment are met
  • Familiar with Communications Security (COMSEC) duties and COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) duties, willingness to learn and take on these responsibilities with oversight
  • Other duties assigned

Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A

high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to

Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and the position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner. May include lifting to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
