Project / Design Leader - Building Engineering

Our national Building Engineering team are looking for experienced Project / Design Leaders to join our team. These roles would suit experienced building services professionals who have developed strong experience across design management and project management.You’ll bring a technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Hydraulic or another Building Engineering discipline, combined with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from both a design and commercial perspective. You’ll work closely with our clients, technical leaders and project teams to define scope, manage change and deliver high-quality outcomes across some of our major projects.How you’ll make a difference:Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, coordinating Building Engineering disciplines and wider project teams to deliver design solutions from project inception through to delivery.Work with clients to understand needs, interpret requirements to allow our engineers to develop solutions, document design assumptions and risks.Take ownership of design management, including defining scope, coordinating technical inputs, managing interfaces and leading design reviews to ensure the design meets client requirements, programme and project objectives.Manage project delivery across programme, financial performance, resourcing, financial governance, identifying and managing scope changes, risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing practical advice, managing expectations and working with Project Directors, Technical Directors, Design Managers and discipline leads to resolve project and technical challenges.Contribute to the growth of the Building Engineering business through client engagement, proposals and work-winning activities, bringing your technical and project experience to help develop new opportunities.
