The selected candidate will perform internal audits to assess performance of KCNSC NMO operations to Quality Management System, product/ process, and HS&E requirements.

Performs or assists in the performance of internal and external quality surveys/audits or performance-based assessments.

Assesses conformance to and effectiveness of operating practices for satisfaction of the requirements contained in drawings, specifications, operating requirements, and internal procedures.

Evaluates overall level of performance in major functional areas identifying strengths and concerns related to an area's organization, processes, procedures, and programs.

Reports results and publishes or assists in the development of final reports. May work under direction of project team leader or serve as the Project Team Leader.

Plans, performs, and reports results of evaluation of operating practices.

Conducts follow-up activities to verify the completion and effectiveness of reported corrective actions taken to resolve compliance or performance issues.

Maintains proficiency in technical and administrative areas including knowledge of DOE Orders (draft and released), Secretary of Energy Notices, DOE guidelines and directives, appropriate regulatory agency regulations, NNSA Weapon Quality Policy (NAP-401.1X), international standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001), OST M1.27C, FM&T processes, procedures, and functional interrelationships.

Establishes and maintains proficiency in performance assessment, quality assurance, and root cause analysis methodology.

Assigns and develops justifiable performance, compliance, or effectiveness level values.

Maintains appropriate records, provides input for managerial summaries, and assures that historical records are complete and maintained appropriately.

You Must Have:

2+ years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Ability to travel up to 10 % of the time.

Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.

United States Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

We Value:

Two or more years of administrative, technical, or supervisory experience preferably in inspection or quality activities.

Good interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability in decision making, organizing, and problem solving are required.

Demonstrated technical writing experience
