Stone fabrication studio manager

Seeking individual to manage employees and participate in fabricating stone sculpture in well-established Santa Fe studio.

Experience in (any) building trades, carving stone, woodworking, metal working, use of hand and power tools large and small, driving basic trucks (flatbeds, etc) and forklifts, pulling trailers, mechanical work, stage crew or other crew related experience and any positions where managing others should be presented.

Other important attributes include strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, a well-balanced demeanor, a goal-oriented attitude, being able to represent the company publicly with professionalism and enthusiasm, empathy and the ability to delegate effectively, time management and organizational skills, resilience, adaptability and trustworthiness.

This individual would work closely with the owner of the company.

A flexible schedule is necessary as out-of-state travel for art shows and stocking galleries happens throughout the year.

Pay would start at $27 to $30 an hour based on experience with semi-annual pay increases. The position could move to salary based pay if desired however overtime pay is common during travel.
