Studio Assistant

Local artist seeking a part-time studio assistant. Training provided.

Three to four days a week. 10:00 - 5:00

$16.00 an hour during training period. $18.00 an hour after.

Responsibilities:

Prime and paint frames

Metal prep (cutting, sanding and cleaning copper and brass)

Assist with patinas

Bond metal to frames

Requirements:

Able to follow instructions

Willing to work with chemicals (exhaust system installed, protective gear provided and plenty of ventilation in the studio)

Experience with painting/spray painting a plus

Work with 2-part epoxy

Able to lift and carry 40+ lbs

Self motivated and interested in learning

Must live in or around Santa Fe
