Description Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Surgical Estimator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent analytical skills, and is experienced in creating accurate cost estimates for surgical procedures.Responsibilities:

Work closely with surgeons, physicians, and other medical professionals to calculate costs associated with proposed surgical procedures.

Review patient medical records and surgical proposals to determine costs.

Liaise with insurance companies to understand policies/coverage and determine out-of-pocket costs for patients.

Prepare clear, detailed, and accurate cost estimates for patients before surgical procedures.

Explain cost estimates to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Use excellent judgement and prior experience to anticipate potential cost variances in surgical procedures.

Update and maintain records of all estimations, payments, and fiscal adjustments.

Aid in the development and improvement of estimation procedures by applying best practices and industry standards.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical cost estimation, preferably in a surgical/clinical setting.

Familiarity with medical terminology associated with surgical procedures.

Experience with medical billing codes and health insurance policies.

Superb analytical skills with the ability to handle complex information.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals, insurance companies, and patients.

Proficiency with medical billing software and other related computer applications.
