Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and creative Professional Video Editor to join our dynamic team. This role involves assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director's vision and is suitable for broadcasting. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing video content for commercials, branded digital content, and other broadcast-related materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list.

Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.

Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.

Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.

Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.

Ensuring the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.

Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.

Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.

Proven work experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio.

Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).

Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.

Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.

Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
