OverviewAssists with department accounting support and a variety of accounting functions to uphold the integrity of financial data in our Corporate financial statements.Responsibilities
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations, as assigned, to verify accuracy of account balances.
Prepare various recurring and non-recurring journal entries to adjust balances in the general ledger.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner in order to report accurate data and communicate to all stakeholders the issues or outcomes.
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate accounting and internal controls to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Troubleshoot technical problems and use appropriate resources for resolution.
Represent the department on teams and projects to ensure that departmental needs are met and that actions of the team are in line with departmental goals.
Investigate and review financial policies in order to improve efficiencies of the department.
Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Back up for team members when needed in order to meet deadlines of the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - Preferred
2 years of experience in Related field.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Demonstrates analytical skills.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
Demonstrates written communication skills.
Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.
Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.
Possesses strong technical aptitude.
CompensationIn the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $21.10 - $33.15 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
Full-time
