Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the manufacturing industry, located in EDGEWOOD, New York, United States. The role involves handling accounts payable, account reconciliation, supporting the supply chain, and handling vendor inquiries. The job will be carried out in an office setting, with an alternate week schedule.Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable tasks, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and timely Handle account reconciliation duties, making sure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date Provide support to the supply chain department, assisting with any accounting-related tasks Respond to vendor inquiries, resolving any issues or disputes in a professional manner Utilize software like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing Maintain accurate record-keeping of all accounting-related documents and transactions Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficient financial operations Implement company policies and regulations in all accounting procedures Assist in the preparation of reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders Perform other related duties as assigned by the management. Requirements Proven experience in the role of Accounting Clerk or similar role within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Demonstrated skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). Experience in handling billing and invoice processing tasks. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, charts, and reports. Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex accounting issues. Familiarity with standard accounting principles and procedures. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures or job functions. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
