Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Buffalo, New York. This role involves handling a range of accounting tasks within a busy environment, with a focus on processing invoices, maintaining records, and resolving discrepancies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute their skills and expertise to a dynamic and professional team.Responsibilities: Accurately processing customer invoices and entering data into the system Maintaining precise records of accounts payable activities Regularly reviewing invoices and matching them with the appropriate documentation Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the accounts payable process Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary action to collect delinquent payments Utilizing various accounting software systems including Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel Performing other accounting functions as necessary to support the team Addressing customer inquiries regarding their credit applications and accounts Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the accounting department Adhering to strict compliance guidelines in all tasks.
