Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description A Queens based manufacturer is seeking an AR Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. Prospective candidates will be responsible for contact customers on the 3lst day of the month to request the status of past due invoices, liaise with brokers and customers, prepare Credit Memo Request Forms to clear approved items from the A/R Trial Balance, work with brokers and customers to receive backup documentation for deductions and short remittances in a timely manner, obtain all information needed to file claims against freight carriers (POD, signed bill of lading, customer deduction backup, copy of invoice, etc.), review the A/R Trial Balance Report for assigned accounts every two weeks to ensure that work is being done on all items older than 60 days, backup for Cash Application for CPC lockbox, Monday through Wednesday, backup for Cash Application for Wire Transfers including International customers and more. Prospective candidates must have at least one year of Accounts Receivable experience.
