Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in BRONX, New York. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be tasked with monitoring customer accounts, processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and addressing customer inquiries. Key responsibilities: Monitor Monthly Aging to ensure payments are made on time Address customer inquiries concerning billings and resolve complaints Send collection letters to customers with outstanding balances Directly contact customers who are past due via phone calls and emails Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up to ensure payments are made as per agreed terms Prepare necessary documentation to adjust customer accounts Collaborate closely with the billing personnel to implement policies and procedures for accurate invoicing Stay updated with changes in state and federal laws governing debt collections Identify areas of improvement in the collection process and recommend changes to management Use Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services for various accounting functions.
