All Things Oz Museum- HIRING

We are hiring one amazing person for our full time Museum Associate I position at the All Things Oz Museum.

Job Title: Museum Associate I

Reports to: Museum Manager, Co-Directors

Status: full time; hourly (40 hours/week)

Pay: $17.50 / hour

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Open museum and gift shop during posted hours as scheduled.

-Give tours as needed.

-Accurately ring up all transactions on the register.

-Sell, Pack, and ship online orders and telephone orders.

-Answer phone, retrieve voice mail, return calls in a timely manner.

-Log in collection using museum software as assigned.

-Record all museum income and expenses.

-Record and update memberships as assigned.

-Work on new exhibits with the collection committee.

-Maintain gift shop and museum in a clean, welcoming and safe environment. Cleaning duties include Gift shop, back room, museum, office and storage areas, and rest room.

-Greet all visitors.

-Must be able to work with all types of people

-Other duties as assigned

This position is about attention to detail and storytelling.

Schedule will be Wednesday- Sunday 9 am - 5:30 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

Experience Preferred

Theater, retail, museum.
