The firm's ability to properly identify, measure, monitor and report risk is critical to both its soundness and profitability.The AM Risk Management team conducts risk oversight function to provide credible challenge to the business in an independent and consolidated view at multiple levels - including investment, counterparty, liquidity and operational. The main objective of the Risk Oversight is to measure, report and challenge risk management practices across portfolios and to ensure compliance with the law and internal policies, escalating in case of any issues. The Oversight is conducted at strategy, portfolio and legal entity levels. We play a key role in risk governance forums.IntroductionAs an analyst in AM Risk, you will provide independent risk oversight to the investment activities in the business. While based in New York, this role will also work closely with colleagues globally in London, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Bangalore as well as interact with the business and other control and oversight functions within the Asset Management organization.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily analysis and monitoring of portfolios by working closely with businesses and other control and oversight functions regionally and globally, including but not limited to:

Deep dive portfolio review, including scenario analysis, stress testing, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, ESG/Sustainability risk

Investment Risk, Liquidity Risk, Counterparty Risk monitoring, oversight, and escalation with a credible challenge mindset

Identify and monitor key market events and their potential impact to portfolios

Partner and interact with businesses to carry the risk culture of the organization

Responsible for the regular risk escalation and analysis for senior management, boards, and regulators

Develop new and enhance existing tools to improve detection and escalation of risk

Identify opportunities for improving efficiency & controls to deliver innovative solutions

Responsible for data and analytical rigor, accuracy and completeness

Track updates related to industry developments, trends and competitors (internally and externally)

Requirements:Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in asset management or risk management

Knowledge in financial markets and investment risk management

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Highly motivated, hands-on individual that can work independently as well as part of a team

Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and explain complex concepts

Detail oriented with ability to understand processes and complex financial and risk concepts

Drives innovation in problem solving and challenges status quote proactively
