Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an AML Compliance Analyst in Brooklyn, New York. As an AML Compliance Analyst, your role will focus on interpreting AML Risk standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures, making risk-based determinations, and ensuring alert data is accurately collected and documented. This position is within the financial services industry.Start Date:Pay: $26/hourLocation: HYBRID (3 days on-site in Midtown)Schedule: EST Business hoursResponsibilities: Interpret and implement AML Risk standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures Make risk-based determinations through Quality Analysis Ensure proper clearance of alerts by Compliance Alerts Analysts Accurately collect and document Alert data, including Investigations data, Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), and Know Your Customer (KYC) information Analyze large amounts of data with strong research, analytical, and comprehension skills Maintain all required information which would assist in an investigation Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accountsRequirements Proficiency in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations and guidelines is essential. Demonstrated understanding and application of Compliance principles. Experience in developing and implementing Policies and Procedures. Strong research skills for conducting thorough investigations. Proven ability to ensure Quality in all aspects of work. Familiarity with identifying and handling Suspicious Activity. Knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements and processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
