Doran Jones Inc. is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer with Angular expertise to lead the development of a strategic data management project at a multi-national financial services firm. The application will be built on AWS and Snowflake and support transactional data analysis across a broad range of cash and derivative securities. Hybrid (NY/NJ office 3 days a week)Responsibilities

    • Implement a highly performant user interface built from provided UX artifacts and written specifications within the following environment: AngularJS, JEST test framework, Bamboo/Bitbucket CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes, Integration test framework
    • Manage deployment process across multiple environments, including production (controlled by change management process).
    • Deliver UI that will interface with a REST API
    • Provide rigorous testing standards to ensure the application's current and future stability is not compromised.
    • Remain current with developments and trends in areas of expertise, including new technologies that may provide opportunities for the future.
    • Develop and foster collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals with QA and other colleagues in the organization.
Required Experience
    • 5+ Years of development as a front-end developer using Angular 8+, Typescript, Reactive Programming, Responsive Design, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, and HTML5.
    • In-depth knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and how to leverage these to streamline project execution.
    • Experience working with AWS cloud environment.
    • Possess the ability to decompose business problems into smaller parts to develop a solution, considering the impact on other subsystems.
    • Experience in troubleshooting, tuning, and optimizing rendering time, memory & network utilization.
    • Experience working with Angular CLI.
    • Experience working in a platform managed by a DevOps team (OpenShift, a plus).
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
Preferred Experience
    • Working knowledge of Python development using standard data libraries (pandas, etc.).
    • Consulting experience within financial services.
