Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Appian Developer/Lead for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in New York, NY, Irving, TX, Tampa, FL or Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for provide strategic solutions for managing scenario data, process, and production centrally within firm Risk.
  • Responsible for the firm Enterprise Scenario Group's scenario inventory management workflow process program design and development.
  • Lead the process workflow level designing of the business and reporting process solutions for target Risk groups; and manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of design, development, UAT, deployment, and ongoing support of firm Risk's BPM solution leveraging Appian
  • Closely work with business stakeholders, production operation managers, architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and QA team to carry out the SDLC activities.
  • Support effective workflow process designing program governance, project management, including program/project setup, planning, and tracking using tools such as MS Project, JIRA, & etc., following the required essential governance operational procedures.
  • Comfortably work with the Agile processes and be able to collaborate and contribute estimates to the planning process.
  • Work to identify where workflow automation can be applied to various aspects of the development process and projects
  • Update the progressive status of assigned tasks to senior management
  • Support to produce program/project business requirement documents and ensure the documents and other tracking evidence are effectively maintained for all related programs/projects.
Required Skills:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related discipline or the equivalent in demonstrable work experience.
  • 7+ years of related working experience, and 2+ years of experience on BPM implementation using Appian including UX design.
  • Expert knowledge of Appian BPM solution tool's CDTs and Data stores
  • Experience with building Appian BPM solution tool's Plug-ins and leveraging APIs
  • Experience in creating Appian BPM solution tool's plug-ins and Smart Services
  • Proficient with Java, SQL, and Web Services
  • Experience with designing & implementation of modules and App connectivity methods like Web API, SOAP requests with WSDLs
  • Worked closely with other IT teams to integrate business processes leveraging Appian application
  • Proficiency on Data Model and Database design nonrelational: Mongo, and relational: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
  • Experience with Appian BPM Forms, Process Modelers, Rules & Expressions, Document Knowledge Center, Data Management through Complex Data Types, XSDs, and SQL queries
  • Expertise in business integrations - Web Services and REST
  • Hands-on experience must include:
    • Design of UI SAIL Forms for Site and Tempo environment
    • Design of CDTs that interact with external databases
    • Design of role-based access control Appian components
    • Development of Records and Reports using SAIL
    • Use of vendor BPM product Plugins for use in SAIL and process models
    • Ability to traverse logs to determine system and development errors
    • Build/consumption of web services in vendor BPM product
    • Design of expression rules, constants, and query rules
    • Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies such as LDAP, Active Directory, Security and other internal systems in the enterprise
  • Must be a strategic risk process and system solution thinker with knowledge of risk processes and risk systems, and experience of transformation and management of projects
  • Ability to lead a program with multiple projects in parallel and communicate effectively while building strong client relationships / business partnership, and to thrive in uncertainty.
  • Must be a self-motivated, self-starter who can independently handle tasks with little oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to study and familiarize firm's framework including policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and training to provide optimal business solutions.
