We are looking for an Application Analyst to join our fast-paced, ever-learning and collaborative Clinical Imaging Systems group. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have a thirst for learning and will be a committed team member. The Application Analyst will provide technological consultation and assistance to users of the Clinical Ancillary Information Systems including, but not limited to, the following:- Analysis of user needs and requirements;
- Application installation and testing;
- Application problem resolution;
- Writing user documentation;
- Server maintenance
- Management report creation.
- Interface between the departmental users/clients and the various divisions of IT.
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Clinical Imaging solutions (including radiology, ophthalmology and others) and PACS applications in a rapidly changing environment.
- Triage network/workstation/hardware related issues.
- Coordinate modifications and updates to the PACS application and the other applications/systems provided and or supported by the Clinical Imaging Team.
- Support of over two dozen state of the art systems and applications
- Provide advanced application troubleshooting support for systems/applications provided and or supported by the Clinical Imaging Team.
- Recommend improvements and increase efficiency of the PACS and the other systems/applications provided and or supported by the Clinical Imaging Team.
- Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation.
- Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications.
- Provide pro-active monitoring of the applications/systems provided and or supported by the PACS Team.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation regarding systems/applications provided and or supported by the PACS Team.
- Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis.
- Provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its' affiliates (on-site, rotational support).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. Experience will be considered in place of a degree
- IT experience in patient care settings / medical centers / healthcare
- Strong technical skills; strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Prior PACS and/or clinical imaging systems experience is preferred
- Knowledge of workflows associated with Radiology and/or Ophthalmology is preferred.
- Understanding of DICOM, DICOM RT, HL7, IHE and other health related standards is preferred
- Experience working with multiple operating systems, modalities and clinical systems is desired
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a larger team
- Must be able to multi-task effectively
