Population Health has been part of the fabric at Montefiore since the 1990's- long before Population Health was recognized as critical by our peer hospital systems. We are seeking a Sr. Application Analyst to work within the EPIC Population Health Quality Measures team. The Application Analyst will primarily be involved in building of Healthy Planet quality and Regulatory reporting. This build involves Epic Healthy Planet and Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Dashboards, Metrics, BPAs etc.). The Application Analyst will work closely with the organization's various quality teams to provide solutions and training that support self-servicing solutions when possible. They will also be responsible for maintenance of reporting and monitoring of various external data interfaces (payor claims, roster management).

Responsibilites: • Analysis- Analyze business problems and specify the functionality of solutions; Determine appropriate tools to deliver required solution; Conduct data analysis and troubleshooting; communicate and escalate issues/risks; • Build - All build will meet the defined standards associated with Epic build. Build design will leverage Epic strategies to implement required solutions while seeking to improve efficiency; Design and develop components for the delivery of quality metrics, dashboards, scorecards and drilldown reports. Build will be utilizing Epic reporting tools such as workbench, Radar metrics and Dashboards. HCC support will utilize the Epic HCC BPA build. Support existing build modifications.• Client Management - Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to assess business needs, provide relevant solutions, and communicate information effectively. • Testing/Validation - Determine testing/validation methodology and create testing scripts for unit and integrated testing; Coordinate user acceptance validation; Execute functional, regression, load testing etc.• Documentation - Prepare detailed requirement specification documents, process flows, and other required documents; Create training materials in conjunction with Instructional Designers and/or participate in training

• Technical Knowledge - Proactively monitor the application(s) and tools to ensure our solutions are in line with current recommendations.

• Business Knowledge - Proactively monitor quality program changes and ensure our measures are reflective of the industry's current definitions.

• On call support required on a rotating basis and implementations as needed.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be certified in at least one Epic modules for Healthy Planet, ClinDoc, Orders, Ambulatory or Cogito
  • Minimum of 1 year build experience in Epic EMR
  • Minimum of 1 year build experience working in Epic Reporting Workbench reporting tool.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers and management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work well on team
  • Excellent follow up skills, documentation skills and organizational skills
  • Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities
  • Meeting all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment
  • On call support required on a rotating basis and implementations as needed.

Desired:
  • Epic certification in Healthy Planet Analytics and Quality Measures
  • Understanding of quality measures for various governmental organizations
  • Experience with Epic Radar and Reporting Workbench SQL
  • Experience with Epic Security
