Job Title: Application Development Specialist 6 - Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Salary Range: $94,665 - $132,532 Hay Points: 657 Dept/Div: IT Product Management/ Div IT Enterprise Product Mgt Supervisor: Product Manager Location: 2 Broadway Hours of Work: 9:00 AM -5: 3 0 PM (7.5 hours /day ) or as required This position is eligible for telework which is currently two days per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire. In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021 we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate. "Fully vaccinated" means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose, or have received 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose. Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date. Summary The purpose of this position is to lead in the design, development, and use of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, as well as business application systems to meet business, informational, and technical needs. Responsibilities- The selected candidate will perform information technology functions related to implementation and migration of Enterprise Content Management and the MTA's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
- The selected candidate will collect and document business user requirements for design and configuration of Enterprise Content Management software to streamline and resolve business problems.
- The selected candidate will prepare and coordinate system deliverables for various disciplines such as EAM and Document Management, integration to asset management systems, and mobile technologies.
- The selected candidate will establish and implement policies and procedures regarding document storage, sharing, transmission, and destruction.
- The selected candidate will ensure security of system and integrity of master documents by implementing document and system access rights and revision controls.
- The selected candidate will ensure company complies with applicable laws and regulations regarding data security and document management.
- The selected candidate will consult with end users to identify problems in accessing electronic content.
- The selected candidate will liaise with IT systems experts on hardware and software issues that affect the availability and accessibility of content management systems.
- The selected candidate will pro-actively manage software upgrades and enhancements to keep applications in State of Good Repair.
- The selected candidate will lead in the feasibility analysis for new systems/applications including understanding implications for the current and future architecture to determine how applications and processes can be improved.
- The selected candidate will serve as a technical lead on large and small sized projects. This includes leading or contributing to the technical design, tracking, and resolving technical issues, ensure unit tests are conducted and documented and guiding technical resources throughout the project.
- The selected candidate will provide leadership and technical guidance on the most complex coding/ development, configuration, and implementation efforts to enhance the expertise of colleagues.
- The selected candidate will develop test strategy and plans for projects and participates in the planning, execution, and documenting results of functional testing.
- The selected candidate will assist in the development, delivery, and training of end users in new applications and business processes.
- The selected candidate will ensure technical support and problem resolution for client inquiries and production issue resolution.
- At least 2+ years experience designing, architecting, and implementing large-scale content migrations into Enterprise Content Services preferred.
- At least 3+ years proficiency in any major enterprise content management platform like Alfresco, IBM FileNet, OpenText, Microsoft SharePoint, etc., preferred.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) application architecture, including infrastructure, database table structure, design standards, protocols, and delivered objects is a plus.
- Experience designing, building, configuring, and maintaining application integration solutions between enterprise scale systems using Java, RedHat OpenShift or other API development tools is a plus.
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps tools (Jira, Jenkins, Security Scan, Monitoring, Automation of testing and deployment pipelining) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Transit System experience is preferable.
- Recognized as a leader in the design and execution of business solutions, demonstrating a broad understanding of the applications and technical architectures.
