We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Consultant to lead an effort to replace our IBM AS/400 applications with a Cloud Data Platform solution for financial reporting on the Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modernizing legacy systems, data management, and cloud technologies, and be able to provide guidance and technical expertise to our team throughout the project.
Responsibilities:Evaluate and assess the current AS/400 applications and identify areas of improvement through the implementation of a Cloud Data Platform solution.Work closely with the project team to design, develop, and implement the solution on the Azure Cloud.Ensure that the solution meets the requirements of the project, including data storage, processing, analysis, and visualization.Provide guidance and support to the project team in the use of the Cloud Data Platform solution.Ensure that the solution is scalable, secure, and easy to maintain.Develop documentation and provide training to the project team on the use of the Cloud Data Platform solution.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the fields of data management and cloud computing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in modernizing legacy systems and data management.In-depth knowledge of related technologies and experience with implementing cloud-based solutions.Experience with Azure Cloud or a similar cloud computing services.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience with project management and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience with Agile methodology and other project management methodologies.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Relevant certifications in cloud computing and data management (e.g., Microsoft Azure certification, AWS certification, Data Management certification) would be an asset.If you feel that you meet the above requirements and would be a great fit for this role, please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration.- ID: #49272454
