Description Robert Half seeks a hands-on Accounting professional who is in search of a career opportunity with a growing company. Our client, a Ronkonkoma area manufacturer, is looking to hire an individual with either public audit experience, or corporate accounting experience from the manufacturing industry. This opportunity will have you initially responsible for "in the trenches" related work, and will evolve to a corporate role over time. Responsibilities: Review work related to general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations Assist with the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements Assist with the design, review and updating of internal business processes Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation Lead the coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance Develop and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions ensuring GAAP is adhered to Requirements Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Auditing / Public Accounting Prior experience in Manufacturing industry is preferred Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Balance Sheets, and Profit and Loss accounts Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning; Made2Manage experience preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
