Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant to the Associate Vice President in Buffalo, New York. This role entails providing administrative support within the Racial Equity Initiatives industry, ensuring smooth office operations and effective communication between departments.Responsibilities: Act as a primary point of contact, managing the calendar and scheduling appointments for the Associate Vice President. Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint to create engaging and informative presentations for meetings and conferences. Resolve inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Process and manage detailed records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement office procedures and practices. Assist in the organization and execution of office events and meetings. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Support the Associate Vice President in the coordination of projects and initiatives. Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, managing office supplies as necessary. Perform other administrative duties as required, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. Requirements Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a similar industry. Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint for creating presentations and reports. Demonstrated ability in administrative office tasks, including filing, scheduling, and managing correspondence. Expertise in Calendar Management, including scheduling meetings, managing appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team, showing initiative and proactivity in problem-solving. High level of discretion and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of tasks. Basic understanding of project management principles. A good understanding of office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners. Ability to adapt to changing work environments and schedules. A positive attitude towards work and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
