Associate Data Architect is responsible for supporting the visualization and design of data architecture for the enterprise-wide data platform. The position will support the data modeling of new business features and ensure the appropriate integration with existing data structures and provide a consistent view and access to the data for the appropriate business and technical resources. The Associate Data Architect will support the ideation, planning, development, and delivery of solutions, working with their team, Data Governance team, and engineering teams. This position is responsible for supporting other functional and technical areas including data issue remediation and aiding with the development of code fixes and data mapping and flow improvements. This key position will report to the Director of Enterprise Data Integration and Architecture, DA and collaborate with the Enterprise Architect and EDO on both tactical and strategic enterprise-level data design and implementation.Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.:
  • Provides support of the end-to-end data architecture including data architecture standards and best practices and the development and maintenance of the data models for the OLTP databases, the enterprise data warehouse, and the reporting database
  • Assists with the data modernization roadmap and architect solutions to meet business and technology needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects, data acquisitions and successful deployments, orchestrating key resources and infusing key data technologies
  • Supports the creation/enhancements to data models in collaboration with product and engineering teams
  • that provide intuitive analytics to partners, supportive maintenance, optimization, and an end-to-end data driven

  • Assists with the definition data/information architecture standards, structure, attributes and nomenclature
  • of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects
  • Publicizes and promotes Master Data Management along with Data Management Systems optimization
  • Provides support to CPG's Information Governance teams, cross-team leadership and collaborates
  • with the Enterprise Architect for CPG’s Data Governance Model
  • Advises on consistent business analysis, data acquisition, and access analysis and design, load strategy
  • design and implementation, as well as data-related security and change management at the enterprise level
  • Translates strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture which may include
  • an enterprise data model, common business vocabulary, taxonomies to be used to guide enterprise
  • solution development, and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio
  • Support the development and promotion of a company-wide data governance and data management program

  • Knowledge of PL/SQL and XML
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must have a strong business architecture perspective
  • A wide degree of creativity, efficiency, understanding of application design principals and demonstrable use of those principles in application architecture
  • Knowledge of Application design patterns, data modeling, service-oriented integration, business intelligence domains
  • Excellent knowledge of the organization structure and functional responsibilities of the office, inter-related areas and organizations, and workflow procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in interacting and negotiating with business stakeholders at all levels

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related engineering field or a combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a data architect or other senior data management role.
  • Strong history of business and project engagement.
  • Documented hands-on experience with ETL and MDM tools, preferably Informatica Powercente and MDM.
  • Experience with address cleansing solutions such as Address Doctor, Trillium, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS RDS a plus.
