Attn: Solos & Law Firms Drowning in Work

Are you drowning in work and fed up with the legal rat race? Seeking rest, work-life balance, quality of life but have no clue how to get there? Do you want to protect your business but also not feel like a robot?

Have you looked around and noticed the absurdity of how the legal profession runs vs. the rest of society? Do you refuse to ask others to do things you wouldn't do yourself? Then maybe you should talk to me.

I'm seeking freelance legal work that respects my skillset (including proper pay for it), has stability, integrity, no more than 20 hours a week with consistent + reasonable shifts, doesn't demand me to endanger myself and doesn't treat staff like restaurant workers or 2 year olds.

I have over 15 years in this field, am a first generation college + law school graduate and first generation business owner who noticed ages ago that strippers + Wal-Mart cashiers get treated better than associates in a typical law firm so rejected that noise. I started my legal career as a partner & the entire in-house legal department of an entertainment company.

I like the helping people and explaining legalese parts of law practice. I also like learning new areas and finding my creativity having value. I've done over 5 years of court appearances in countless areas including foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, consumer debt (both sides), plaintiff's personal injury, family law, immigration, etc.

However, I don't want to be a solo litigator, have no patience for ego queens or power trippers and insist on being treated better than I would be as a stripper, restaurant worker or Wal-Mart cashier (which require far less hoop jumping to do than being an attorney). My dream is to create an entertainment empire and I have an active entertainment track record alongside being an entertainment transactional lawyer.

If you know the difference between guidance and micromanagement and also believe you can be a good lawyer without being a jerk, then we should talk but ideally if you've got work to outsource and can meet or exceed my income requirements. I don't play race to the bottom & am the last person who needs a babysitter considering I was doing that at 9 years old.

This is NOT me hiring you. If I manage to get an income stream and more asks than I know what to do with, that might happen. If you want to do solo litigation and the skill set fits, you might get a referral. If you want to discuss potential partnership where I'm not having to be a solo litigator or throw away my entertainment work, that may be an option. Otherwise, don't waste my time or yours.
