We are a boutique matrimonial and family law firm based in Brooklyn, New York seeking an attorney to join our firm initially as a part-time associate but with possibility of full-time, in future, if desired. In office and remote, flexible days/hours. The successful candidate will have an ability to take direction and a desire to learn while also being capable of taking initiative. Excellent planning and time-management skills, demonstrable proficiency conducting legal research and drafting persuasive argument including using proper citations, and familiarity with CPLR and court rules are essential. Must be willing and able to travel to court appearances in NYC. Ability to effectively prioritize, keep track of and meet deadlines in evolving circumstances essential, as is a willingness to handle “emergencies” when they come up—and they do. Our clients expect us to engage as needed so that they always feel informed and prepared, so a personable manner and an ability to distill legal complexities for non-lawyers would be very helpful. Proficiency in Adobe, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams is expected, and familiarity with Clio practice management software is desirable. Laptop running Apple OS required.

- Assist with various tasks and communications on client matters
- Assess discovery requirements, draft demands and manage responses
