(Assets as of March 31, 2021).Within WM Investment Solutions, the Managed Solutions & Strategy (MSS) Team manages discretionary investment strategies and performs manager due diligence for clients across J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. Discretionary investment offerings include multi-asset, single asset class and alternative strategies offered through individual accounts and private and registered funds. MSS uses multiple strategies and channels for implementation of its discretionary investment strategies, including mutual funds, private funds, exchange traded funds and notes, structured products and other types of instruments.The MSS Team is actively building out its SI (Sustainable Investing) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) frameworks & integration plan, including the launch of new SI/ESG products and toolsets. This expansion is in response to increased industry demand and a large pipeline of SI/ESG regulations in every region, such as the Sustainable Finance Reporting & Disclosure (SFDR) regulation. The SI/ESG frameworks and integration plan will have broad sweeping impact across all Managed Solutions teams.Our Team:As a member of the MSS Control Management team, the Control Manager will contribute to designing, delivering and measuring on the effectiveness of the operating framework for the ESG Platform for Managed Solutions. Control Management's primary function is to ensure these businesses have a sustainable risk and control environment, to identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency, and to ensure issues are addressed appropriately and timely.Control Management works in partnership with the business, adding an additional line of defense to identify, document, and effectively manage our risks in our current environment as well as in new business initiatives. Control Management also assists in control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.Role Responsibilities:Drive the design of the ESG control framework within Wealth Management Solutions including the execution of the Control & Operational Risk Evaluation, control breaks and resolutions to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk

Participate as a key stakeholder in the ESG integration framework across Solutions

Represent WM in the Firmwide ESG Controls Working Group and drive LOB specific solutions

Partner with all stakeholders to help implement new SI/ESG investment products and services

Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols

Manage ESG related internal audits, compliance tests and regulatory exams on behalf of the business; provide support for pre-exam health checks

Ensure procedures are documented to effectively comply with policies and other requirements, and that procedures accurately reflect control framework

Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions

Work closely with integrated controls teams, including Quality Assurance, Supervisory Management, and other central control functions to define the scope of monitoring and surveillance, design and implement key controls within business activities

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred

Experience in assessing ESG or Sustainable Investing risks and controls preferred

Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners

Knowledge of discretionary investment products and wealth management businesses preferred

Strong problem solving and analytical skills; effective at critical thinking and attention to detail, able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner

Positive attitude and team spirit with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills

Highly organized, reliable, proactive, flexible; able to manage competing priorities to achieve the most effective result in a fast-paced, results driven environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
