Job Title: Azure Cloud ArchitectDuration: 12+ MonthsLocation: Long Island City, NY(100% Onsite)Job Description:The Azure Cloud Architect will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Azure cloud environment. In this role, the selected candidate will define the strategy, governance and policy around Azure services and will serve as the technical solution architect on implementing multiple Azure services, applications, and infrastructure. He/she will also be collaborating with a team of seven systems engineers and will be reporting to the Information Technology (“IT”) Department Server Support team’s senior manager.Responsibilities:• Review existing Azure environment architecture and provide recommendations if re-design or changes are necessary• Work with ISP and internal infrastructure teams to implement and manage Azure ExpressRoute and Network Security Group• Monitor Azure consumption to prevent over usage• Provision and manage Azure App Services, Function Apps and Logic Apps• Assist with Virtual Machine provisioning, migration, and configuration in Azure.• Work with IT Development teams on the utilization of Azure Development tools, including and not limited to Service Bus, DevTest Labs, Team Services. etc.• Provision and manage Azure storage accounts and CDN• Management of Azure Active Directory• Design Disaster Recovery solution using Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup to streamline existing IT Systems Recovery process.Skills:• Deep and broad knowledge of cloud service provider capabilities and integration required; Knowledge of primary Azure services (Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Automation, Monitor, OMS)• Knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure and solution stacks operating in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid hosting environments.• Experience working with IT development software and methodology.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong documentation and organization skills.• Strong PowerShell scripting.
