A NYC agency located in New York, NY is looking for a Azure Cloud Specialist for a 12 month contract.

This position will be on-site. To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test. Requirements and skills

  • Bachelors in Computer Science
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong programming skills in Java and scripting languages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong Window Cloud Administration and Tomcat Web Service or Java and/or .NET skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; a self-starter
  • Working experience with Tomcat admin and security performance.
  • Development experience on Java and Java script or .NET, Web and TCP socket, and encryption technique.
  • Strong Window Cloud Administration and Tomcat Web Service skills
  • Setup the security vulnerabilities and monitoring tools for tomcat web service on azure servers. Ensure performance and tuning of the web services.
  • Azure server security audit and monitoring and reporting
  • Provide recommendation to enhance the security and performance.
  • 6+ years' experience: Analysis, Information Technology and Azure

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis, configuration and security monitoring for Tomcat Web Server and Azure Cloud Services.
  • Generate and deploy SSL certificates for client connections to Tomcat and Azure service.
  • Assist development team to create secure connection between subsystems of the Beacon project.
  • Configure, analyze and monitor firewall and other security indicators for firewalls in Azure cloud services.
  • Assist development team on Java or .NET and other script languages for automation of administration processes and interface development.
  • Document flows for deployment and maintenance of production system.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings such as business process reviews, requirements, and various status reports
  • Perform web server administration and security for cloud based Beacon B Division Countdown Application.
