Shift Timings (part time): Sundays and Mondays, 2pm-9pm Job Description: JOCO Field Operations: Battery Concierge We are looking for a Battery Concierge for our Field Operations to service our fleet of shared electric vehicles and be able to wear multiple helmets to support our daily operations. This is a contract full-time hourly position scheduled at 40 hours per week. It is possible we can accommodate part-time scheduling (discussed on an individual basis). Potential Shift Times based upon customer activity and NYC traffic patterns: Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday through 2pm-9pm (with paid lunch break) [note: precise hours may vary depending upon shift and candidate availability] What You'll Do Transport batteries to and from destinations (typically between warehouses and stations) using one of our electric-assist cargo bikes or cargo trikes (training will be provided) Change batteries ( "swap") on customer bikes as they arrive at one of our stations where we offer the battery swapping service, and send them on their way with a full battery. As time permits, perform minor maintenance procedures and/or quality control arriving customer bikes. Arrive at destinations on schedule Use navigation phone apps and programs to determine the best route Always interact with our customers professionally and with a positive attitude. Complete JOCO bike battery swaps at stations as necessary Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties and make sure riders are on the safest vehicles. Problem-solve issues on the spot and find creative ways to overcome obstacles that come your way. Perform other job duties as assigned (note: this is not an exhaustive list). Bring an "all hands on deck " attitude when projects must be completed on deadlines, and be a good team player About You 2+ years of working experience. Experience as a driver in the transportation or service industry is a plus. Good knowledge of local area geography and street layout Possess a working smart phone with a data plan You are active. You have the ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 lbs on a frequent basis Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools Willingness to learn, a great attitude and ability to work well with others - teamwork is key to success!
