What You’ll Do
This is more than floor coaching. You’ll be responsible for leading sessions, managing clients, and driving relationships that help Brooklyn Fitness thrive.
Training & Coaching
Deliver exceptional semi-private and 1-on-1 training sessions following BKF’s programming system
Conduct strategy sessions, assessments, and monthly check-ins to help clients feel seen and served
Design and update client programs using BKF templates and systems
Keep sessions efficient, prepared, and professional at all times (Core Value: Craft Mastery)
Client Management & Administration
Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and program notes
Use PushPress and client tracking systems to stay on top of communication and accountability
Coordinate check-ins and follow-ups (Core Value: Professionalism)
Sales & Growth
Lead new-client strategy sessions and convert them into memberships (earning $49 per sale)
Contribute to the gym’s marketing presence — participate in videos, content, or events that showcase what we do
Identify and create new opportunities for client engagement or workshops (Core Value: Ownership)
Community & Brand Ambassadorship
Be the face of BKF on the floor and online — embody energy, integrity, and care
Celebrate client wins and share success stories to inspire others
Represent Brooklyn Fitness in the community and help us grow our mission (Core Value: Seen and Served)
Compensation Overview
BKF coaches earn a mix of hourly and performance-based pay, tied directly to the responsibilities above:
Hourly Pay: $20–$25/hr for semi-private sessions and floor work
Check-ins: $3–$5 each (for client progress reviews)
Program Design: $10–$25 per program (average 30–40/month)
1-on-1 Sessions: $45–$60/hr
Sales Commissions: $49 per successful strategy-session conversion
Workshops & Specialty Programs: Keep 50% of revenue from self-led 6-week programs or events
Typical total compensation ranges from $45K–$75K/year, with high performers reaching $90K+ through consistent client management, sales performance, and intrapreneurship opportunities.
Who You Are
Certified personal trainer (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, etc.) with 1–3 years in-person experience
Obsessed with coaching and communication
Comfortable selling — you believe good coaching is good sales
Excited by systems, structure, and accountability (not allergic to admin work)
Hungry to grow — you want mentorship, education, and a long-term career path
You bring energy, ownership, and professionalism to every session
