Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of the company. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients using accounting software.
Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Handle payroll processing, including tracking hours, calculating wages, and processing payments.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Provide support during audits and tax filings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
High degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
