Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities:

Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, accurately into the accounting system.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring that all entries are accounted for and discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing customers, processing payments, and tracking outstanding invoices.

Process payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions, and ensuring timely payment to employees.

Maintain and update the general ledger, posting journal entries and ensuring that all accounts are balanced and up to date.

Prepare and generate regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial status of the business.

Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring that they are recorded in the correct accounts and within budget.

Track and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring accurate reporting and accounting of stock.

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing relevant financial data to support management decisions.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards, maintaining accurate and organized financial records.

Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.

Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation is a plus.
