Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Business Analyst for a Financial Services clients in New York, NY. This position is also open to 100% remote across the U.S. Responsibilities :
- Support governance and policy documentation efforts and provide feedback to Treasury owned documents
- Participate in meetings to ensure materials and minutes are accurate and distributed in a timely manner
- Identify action items and coordinate with action item owners to track/ensure timely resolution
- Establish and maintain tracker files for monitoring of gaps and communicate issues in forums to identify and prioritize solutions
- Partner with Risk functions, Internal Audit and other stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Technology, business lines) to build strong risk management processes.
- Understand underlying assumptions assigned to products and how they affect the Liquidity Stress Test in different scenarios.
- Act thoughtfully and quickly in situations which involve uncertainty and/or significant risk. Understand the sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on time.
- Demonstrate confidence in one's assessments, ideas, and judgement capabilities.
- Adapt to and work effectively with various individuals or groups in a variety of situations. Be proactive in understanding or opposing perspectives.
- 4+ years of project experience within the financial industry
- Experience analyzing large sets of data and concisely summarize key points to be used as management information
- Previous experience with developing and implementing policy documents and procedures
- Ability to work independently this candidate will be trained up but should be expected to do the day to day work on their own
- Hands on experience with Liquidity stress testing or Regulatory reporting (i.e FR 2052a)

- Candidate will interact daily with the technology and treasury team

- Strong investigation, prioritization, and organization skills
- Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approach, and be able to assess each situation separately
- Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, etc or other finance domain preferred
- CPA / CFA would be great, but is by no means required
