Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to sit at one of our top financial services clients. With the growth of the Insight North America business, there is a requirement to provide a greater level of technology development to the firm across offices in NYC, Boston, and SF. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform business analysis, serving as the liaison between US business stakeholders and US Technology, delivering technology change which adds value to the firm. In performing this role, there will be a number of tasks including gathering / documenting business requirements, producing functional specifications, creating and owning user stories, testing, and engaging in a handover process with the relevant IT Support team(s), etc.

This BA role will have 3 facets:

1. US Prioritized Requirements

a. Head of Technology meets with the primary stakeholders / heads-of in the US, and prioritize monthly items that get raised in that forum flow through to the dev team, and BAs do the analysis work and hand off to devs as needed for development / delivery

2. Legacy US infrastructure (learn / support / modernize)

a. A major client (that Insight NY actually used to be a part of) has a bespoke infrastructure there, consisting of SQL, ETL, VBA, etc. The goal is to learn / understand this setup, as well as support it if issues arise. Ultimately, they will modernize this work, and this BA would be involved there as well.

3. Support Client Report during month-end / quarter-end through data analysis and possible development

a. When there are issues with Client Reports on a monthly or quarterly basis, this individual will be the point person to figure out why, and ideally script up a resolution. That means they'll be diving into SQL, ETL, and Scheduling to analyze / trace the data back to source, determine the scope / nature of the issue, and ideally even draft up a resolution using those technologies. As needed, they could work with development on resolutions as well. - Experience working with Client Reporting tools (e. g. Factset Vermillion or similar)- BI experience (Tableau)- Proven track record of performing business analysis in the investment space (Asset Manager, HF, Bank, etc)- Strong SQL skills. Ability to debug SQL scripts is required- Experience with ETL Tools (e. g. CADIS) and/or Scheduling Tools (e. g. Control-M)- Understanding of fixed income products (All types of bonds, MBS, credit/rates derivs, futures, converts, GIC, CFD, etc)
