Business & Data Analyst, Data Management ITRemote at first, then partial onsite midtown NYC
Role descriptionWork in an agile fashion with application leads to document product requirements, test plans, online help and support procedures. Perform data discovery and document analysis on various data sources (databases, files) to inform product migration and testing strategies. Lead meetings with end users and IT teams to brainstorm and document functional requirements as well as technical requirements pertaining to scaling and resilience. Analyze user product onboarding processes, identify opportunities to automate/streamline. Present results to senior stakeholders and IT management.Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:Minimum Qualifications:- Proven experience with business and data analysis
- Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to gather and document requirements for internal products, distil key issues and priorities
- Facilitator who can help formulate and document solutions and help drive consensus
- Experience working with onshore and offshore project resources
- 7+ years of experience working in a global financial services technology/product organization
- 5+ years proven track record of business and data analysis on large, complex problems
- Sound understanding of the SDLC, DevOps processes and Agile methodologies
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Confluence, Sharepoint, SQL, Python and BI tooling
- Bachelor’s degree in computing / business / quantitative discipline
- Masters / MBA
- Scrum certification
- PRINCE II / PMP certification
