Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Business/Data Analyst, to support the Liquidity Risk Program, for a contractor assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in lower Manhattan, New York, NY. This person can work in NYC, Houston, or remote. NYC is preferred. The firm requires vaccination for onsite work. Project Info: US Intl Money Markets and Funding is seeking a BA to support the FR 2052a 6G implementation as a result of the new regulatory rules issued by the Federal Reserve. The early part of the project will be focused on completing the business requirements documents, but the candidate has the opportunity to be extended as the project continues to develop. Responsibilities :

  • The candidate will be working on new regulatory rules issued by the Federal Reserve and gain an in-depth knowledge of Liquidity reporting
  • The opportunity provides good exposure for the individual at this project is at an early stage and is highly visible within the bank
  • The candidate has the opportunity for extension and even conversion down the line with good performance
  • Support the FR 2052a 6G implementation as a result of the new regulatory rules issued by the Federal Reserve.
  • The early part of the project will be focused on completing the business requirements documents. This will include:
    • Development of business requirements for the various products reported on the FR 2052a, specifically to incorporate changes from the current version of the FR 2052a to the new rules provided by the Federal Reserve.
    • Provide input into Technology's deliverables and development of the requirements, to ensure the Technology's implementation success.
    • Understanding of the Federal Reserve's changes of the FR 2052a rules and to reflect changes in the business requirements documents.
    • Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem solve certain requirements.
    • Analysis of data used in the reporting of the FR 2052a, and working with Data, Technology and Business groups to determine data gaps that would impede the reporting of the FR 2052a. This would provide input into the data mapping and Technology owned functional requirements.
  • Overarching BRD is the main artifact that will be worked on over the first 6 months
  • User Acceptance Testing of Technology's development before implementation into production
  • Creation and execution of the User Acceptance Test cases.
  • Consulting with members of the US Treasury Reporting and Analytics team for their subject matter expertise on systems and firm-specific data.
  • Working closely with the FR 2052a Project Team to report and resolve any issues.
Required Skills :
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis (IT and/or Non-IT) experience within a large Global Banking and Markets environment/Investment Bank/Capital Markets. Experience in Corp Banking/Lending, Sales and Trading, Prime Services is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience of complex data analysis experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Regulatory Reporting
  • 5+ years of experience with UAT Testing, and hands-on experience using Jira
    • 3+ years of experience with liquidity reporting. Includes: Liquidity Risk (e.g., FR 2052a, 6G, Liquidity Stress test) from a Treasury standpoint
  • Knowledge of requirements gathering, design methodology, and building and executing test (UAT) cases
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of investigating complex / technical issues.
  • Able to troubleshoot data-related issues

  • Candidates must be able to articulate their thoughts concisely
  • Candidates must have the ability to be a leader in their environment, and participate in group forums, discussions, etc to bring in new ideas and a new thought process
  • Must be able to take own ideas/process and combine them with the banks
  • This position requires a detailed driven individual and there is a strong need to be able to multi-task it what can be sometimes a stressful environment.
  • While reports are circulated to regulatory bodies as well as the Bank's Sr. Management, the results will be vetted with more senior members of the Reporting and Analytics team before distribution. Therefore this role requires attention to accuracy and good communication skills
Preferred
  • Candidates should have strong product knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience with the regulatory reporting platform Axiom would be helpful, but not essential
