Our client, one of the largest Real Estate Investment Firms in the US, is looking to hire a full-time Business Intelligence/Data Analyst to work out of their Midtown Manhattan location.The firm has done more than $10 Billion in AUM and has real estate investments in some of the largest office, retail, multifamily, and industrial firms in the United States.In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing dashboards and other reporting tools that help drive strategic objectives and improve business performance across the firm.This firm is not "big data" centric, but rather an environment where you will be working with very complex data. You should know inside and out what to do with the data and will work with business users such as asset managers, property managers, accounting, portfolio management, and more.

In order to be considered, you must have experience with PowerBI, Excel Pivot Tables, and SQL! Being hands-on while interacting with the business is important.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply expertise in business analytics and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support decision makers across the company.
  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs.
  • Leverage tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Pivot Tables, and SQL to drive analytics and enable client self-service on routine queries.
  • Work closely with internal software developers to enhance existing data models for reporting needs.
  • Work with external software vendors and data providers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors, Masters, Boot Camp or Certifications in relevant subject matter
  • 2+ years of practical work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Excel Pivot Tables and SQL
  • Ability to translate qualitative discussions into quantitative data
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
  • Data driven - Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Capable of translating quantitative results into recommendations
