Melt Massage and Bodywork is a massage and wellness studio located in the heart of Fort Greene, Brooklyn that offers customized therapeutic and prenatal massage. We are a family-run business and prioritize aligning ourselves with professionals who are down-to-earth, intelligent, thoughtful, and can appreciate the value of humor in work and life.

We are looking for a Front Desk Manager to join our amazing team. The position is about 20 hours per week with some flexibility to align with the right candidate's ideal scenario. We are currently looking to fill both weekday and weekend shifts. The shifts are primarily on-location with some remote work opportunities as well.

The responsibilities for the position include:

- Fielding client phone calls regarding appointment bookings and general inquiries

- Scheduling appointments for massage clients over the phone and via email

- Utilizing programs such as Google apps and Mind Body Online (knowledge of these programs a plus, especially MBO)

- Completing important sanitization protocols to protect all clients, staff, and therapists who come in to the space.

- Laundering and putting away sheets and other linens using in-house machines

- Coordinating with and supporting the massage therapists working in the space

- Completing routines for opening and closing both the physical space and computer operations

We are looking for individuals who are:

- Able to multi-task efficiently and in a highly organized manner

- Extremely detail-oriented (perfectionists welcome :)

- Poised and professional when dealing with difficult situations

- Punctual and equipped with a strong work ethic

- Trustworthy, reliable, and independent

- Able to be proactive and take ownership while respecting the values established by the owners

- Exceptional communicators, both verbal and written

- Able to work well within systems

- Team players, easy to get along with, and down to earth

- Able to commit to the position long-term
